40986 (2025). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister responsible for Ministerial Services: How many, if any, staff working in Ministers’ offices since 27 November 2023 have left employment and signed a confidentiality agreement?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: Persons working in Ministerial Offices are employees of the Department of internal Affairs. To the extent that any such agreements exist, these would be signed by the employee and a representative of the Department of Internal Affairs. I am advised therefore that the Department of Internal Affairs would need to abide by the terms of any such agreement, including confidentiality clauses that bind the parties.
