40959 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Associate Minister of Justice: Does the Ministry of Justice record the reason each proposal to the Proceeds of Crime Fund is declined; if so, in what form is that record held, and will the Minister release the recorded reason for each proposal declined since 27 November 2023?

Hon Nicole McKee: I am advised only public service and non-public service departments (eligible agencies) can submit proposals to the Proceeds of Crime Fund. The assessment information and advice provided to Ministers form the record supporting funding decisions. The Ministry of Justice (the Ministry) does not record a separate reason for declining each proposal. The Ministry does not record the reasons for eligible agencies submitting or not submitting proposals.
