40950 (2026). Vanushi Walters to the Attorney-General: What lessons, if any, does the Government take from Crown Law’s Performance Improvement Framework (PIF) Self-Review in September 2016?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that Crown Law’s 2016 / 2017 PIF self-review showed the need to shift from fragmented, internally focused legal services to an integrated, client-centred and system-leading model. The key improvement areas were a unified operating model, stronger client focus, system-wide legal leadership, workforce diversity and culture, and clearer strategic planning/accountability. Crown Law’s response centred on three outcomes: better government decisions, strengthened rule of law, and improved criminal justice.
