40742 (2025). Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Health: What are the provisional improvement notices received by Southland Hospital, under the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015, between the dates of July 2024 to the current day?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that between July 2024 and 27 August 2025, provisional improvement notices under the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 were received by Southland Hospital on 6 December 2024, 3 March 2025, and 10 June 2025. As the Member will be aware, such notices have been issued across the country for some time, with Health New Zealand working to address them when they arise.
