40732 (2025). Hon Rachel Brooking to the Minister for Space: What was the total number of staff employed at the University of Auckland as part of the MethaneSAT mission operations, if any?

Hon Judith Collins: In the year 2024/25 six staff were employed at the University of Auckland to directly support MethaneSAT operations and related education and outreach. These roles were funded through MBIE’s contract (3.2 FTE), with 1.5 FTE members funded by MethaneSAT LLC as in WPQ response 40731 (2025).
