40680 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Social Development and Employment
Written Question
Published date: 25 Jul 2024
40680 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, have lost or are set to lose their roles, and interact with customers, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?
Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry that there are no proposed redundancies planned in front-line Service Delivery positions.
Within the Voluntary Redundancy process conducted in April 2024, front-line Service Delivery positions were out of scope for consideration, however 13 people in front-line Service Delivery positions had Voluntary Redundancy approved. These exceptions were due to personal circumstances and the confirmation that those particular positions and locations had sufficient staffing that the positions did not require being filled.
This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Question 40659 (2024) and 40311 (2024) and 40299 (2024).
