40679 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Has the Government modelled how upgrades to Southland’s infrastructure could contribute to doubling New Zealand’s exports, as his government has committed to?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Government is investing in infrastructure in Southland and across the country, in particular to address potholes and maintenance. The Government has not sought specific modelling from NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi or the Ministry of Transport in relation to Southland.
