40637 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on the carbon neutral government programme in the 2024/25 financial year?
Hon Mark Mitchell: The only direct expense for Sport New Zealand Group relating to the Carbon Neutral Government Programme is the Toitū membership and audit. Both Sport NZ and High Performance Sport NZ (HPSNZ) pay separately for these services. HPSNZ’s Toitū Membership & Audit costs for 2024/25 FY was $10,261.75. Sport NZ have paid a total of $12,825 to Toitū, which includes both the audit fee and membership fee in the 2024/25 FY. The Sport Integrity Commission (the Commission) did not spend any funds on the carbon neutral government programme in 2024/25. The Commission is an independent Crown entity and is not subject to the All of Government direction.
