40626 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Local Government: How much, if any, has the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spent on rebranding since 27 November 2023?
Hon Simon Watts: The Local Government (Water Services) Bill will, upon enactment, result in a name change from ‘Taumata Arowai’ to the ‘Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai’ (the Authority).
Costs incurred since November 2023 to implement the name change are $2947 + GST, to make minor changes to physical assets and update the Authority's visual identity where necessary.
The Local Government Commission has had two expenditures relating to rebranding. The first was $1,017.50 plus GST for adjusting the logo to English-first and the second was $79.98 for a replacement conference banner with the English-first logo.
