40617 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Economic Growth: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on the carbon neutral government programme in the 2024/25 financial year?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment spent a total of $84,133 on Carbon Neutral Government Programme related measurement, reporting and auditing in the 2024/25 financial year. This included $74,857 for emissions measurement and reporting (including implementation of a sustainability reporting and analytics platform) and $9,276 for the annual audit and verification. With regard to New Zealand Growth Capital Partners, I am advised there was no spending on the Carbon Neutral Government Programme.
