40593 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on the carbon neutral government programme in the 2024/25 financial year?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments. With regard to agencies, Crown entities and any other bodies under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio, I am advised that Callaghan Innovation spent $24,142 for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP) in FY2025/26. In addition, although Crown Research Institutes (CRI) are not required to participate, the PHF Science spent $97,000 for the CNGP in the 2024/25 financial year. No other science entities within my Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio spent funds for the CNGP in the 2024/25 financial year.
