Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on the carbon neutral government programme in the 2024/25 financial year?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that the Ministry of Social Development has spent $492,000 on the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the 2024/25 financial year. I am further advised that the Social Workers Registration Board spent $3,802 on auditing purposes of meeting the government carbon neutral programme requirements in the 2024/25 year. The Independent Children's Monitor spent $5,865 in 2024/25 on its Toitū Envirocare membership which provides carbon emissions assurance and verification services. The remaining Crown entities I am responsible for are not covered by the programme.
