Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How much, if any, has the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budgeted for the carbon neutral government programme in the 2025/26 financial year?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that the Ministry of Social Development has budgeted $508,000 for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the 2025/26 financial year. I am further advised that the Social Workers Registration Board has budgeted $4,500 for auditing for the purposes of meeting the government carbon neutral programme requirements in the 2025/26 year. The Independent Children's Monitor was previously a departmental agency and had budgeted approx. $9,000 for the carbon neutral government programme for the 2025/26 financial year. The remaining Crown entities I am responsible for are not covered by the programme.
