40543 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Land Information: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, have lost or are set to lose their roles, and provide a service to customers, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Chris Penk: Employment decisions are the responsibility of the Chief Executive. I am advised that as part of its ongoing operating and fiscal review, Toitū te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) has completed two change processes that have resulted in five confirmed redundancies in the period to 10 July 2024. The majority of LINZ roles interact in some way with external or internal customers. None of these directly provide external service to customers.
