40527 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister of Finance: What is the total volume of gas use avoided, if any, as a result of the Gas Transition Loan Guarantee Scheme?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Gas Transition Loan Guarantee Scheme commenced on 31 July 2026. Lenders are required to report gas use avoided, or gas savings, each quarter. The first return, for the quarter ending 30 September 2026, is not yet due. As a result, I am advised the Treasury does not currently hold the data needed to answer this question.
