40522 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister for Hunting and Fishing: What is the proposed work program for the use of any funding the Game Animal Council has received?

Hon James Meager: The Game Animal Council (GAC) outlines its proposed work programme in its annual Statement of Performance Expectations (SPE). I presented the 2026/27 SPE to the House on 7 July 2026. GAC have advised me that it will provide a revised SPE 2026/27 shortly. A revised SPE 2026/27 will reflect the delegation to the GAC of specific management powers of the Sika Herd of Special Interest. As an independent statutory body, the Game Animal Council has responsibility for what it delivers and its spending. The SPE outlines the key work programmes for the year.
