40508 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister of Finance: How many projects approved for loans to date under the Gas Transition Loan Guarantee Scheme involve gas efficiency measures, versus fuel-switching, versus asset-switching?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Gas Transition Loan Guarantee Scheme commenced on 31 July 2026. Lenders are required to report quarterly on information needed to distinguish between gas efficiency, fuel-switching, and asset-switching projects. The first return, for the quarter ending 30 September 2026, is not yet due. As a result, I am advised the Treasury does not currently hold the data needed to answer this question.
