40493 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Housing: How much, if any, has the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budgeted for the carbon neutral government programme in the 2025/26 financial year?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that for the 2025/26 financial year, Kāinga Ora has budgeted approximately a 0.30 FTE to develop the Emissions Reduction Plan and annual emissions inventory and costs to cover the annual emissions inventory audit. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has budgeted $13,400 for the programme in 2025/26. This is made up of $8,400 membership fee, and $5,000 for audit and certification.
