Hon Scott Simpson: Corrected reply: I am advised that while ACC considers the full cost of all claims for the Motor Vehicle Account when recommending the levy rate, the cost profile of motorcycle crashes involving other vehicles is not considered when calculating the cross subsidisation for motorcycles. I am advised that in the 2024 consultation ACC instead considered the proportion of all claims recorded as single vehicle accidents where the driver was at fault.
