40457 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Defence: When, if ever, do the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, intend to review board pay to align with Cabinet Circular CO (25) 2?

Hon Judith Collins: The Ministry of Defence intends to undertake the regular annual review of external board member remuneration before the end of this calendar year. The Ministry’s external board members are paid in accordance with Cabinet Circular CO (25) 2 and any increase, if substantiated by the review, will be subject to the availability of budget. For the New Zealand Defence Force, reviews have taken place since the draft of Cabinet Circular CO (25) 2 was shared for comment, and continue to take place when appropriate.
