40426 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Conservation: How much, if any, has the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budgeted for the carbon neutral government programme in the 2025/26 financial year?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the Department of Conservation has budgeted $36,000 for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the 2025/26 financial year. I am further advised that, for context, this figure does not include any staffing and operational costs, which are not separately budgeted for this work and are instead covered from departmental baselines.
