Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to his reply to Question 38451 (2025), how, if at all, are costs of the comprehensive Temporary Traffic Management service procured by NZTA monitored and does any monitoring include audits of the use of temporary traffic management equipment?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) that costs are captured through contract schedules. These costs are monitored both by contract and also nationally (through aggregated data). Contract temporary traffic management (TTM) costs include audits of TTM equipment by the contractors.
