40141 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: How any firearms have been discharged at gang funerals and reported to Police, if any, since November 2023, broken down by month and district?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police looked for any occurrences that happened between 1 November 2023 and 30 June 2024, where a discharge of a firearm offence was recorded, and to which a current patched or prospect National Gang List member was linked, and where the narrative mentioned words tangi or funeral, which were then reviewed manually for scope of this question. I am advised that Police has not located any relevant occurrences.
