Hon Simeon Brown: The threshold for the assessment of the climate implications of transport policies is the same as for other portfolios. An assessment must be done for all policy proposals that go to Cabinet where: • an objective of the policy proposal is to decrease GHG emissions and/or • the impact on GHG emissions is likely to be equal or above 0.5 million tonnes carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) within the first ten years of the proposal period.
