40107 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: What is the latest update on the work to introduce a mandatory pay gap reporting system?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am currently focused on delivering my priorities for the Workplace Relations and Safety portfolio. Mandatory pay gap reporting is not currently one of my priorities. At present, the Government is focused on supporting businesses who want to voluntarily report on their pay gap. The Ministry for Women is working with business leaders on an approach to voluntary gender pay gap reporting to support organisations measure, understand, share, and take action to close the gender pay gap.
