40079 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the last quarter toward the action ‘Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) is used for safe staffing levels for nursing and will be used for Allied Health shortly. A review of the CCDM methodology and wider nursing investment and productivity is underway. Nursing is a $5 billion per year investment category. A longer-term review of inter-professional models of care is planned. This will result in more affordable workforce models for nursing, Allied Health, resident medical officers and specialised medical officers’ as detailed on page 50 of Te Whatu Ora’s Quarterly Performance Report (January to March 2024)?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: As the Member has stated in her question, a review of Care Capacity Demand Management methodology and wider nursing investment and productivity is underway.
