40038 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to the answer to Written Parliamentary Question 37865 (2024), why, if at all, does the Minister consider it acceptable for the mentoring aspect of the pilot military-style academy to still be in design 25 working days from the academy's commencement on the 29 July 2024, calculated from the time the answer was received in this Office?

Hon Karen Chhour: It is important to take the time to get the key elements right. I expect Oranga Tamariki to deliver a programme that meets the high standards we have set for this academy and not compromise safety.
