40032 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What reports, if any, does the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development hold that show how Accessible Properties has performed as a tenancy manager over the last 10 years, including consistency with delivering good quality, warm, dry and healthy homes and what do these reports show?
Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) holds quarterly reports provided by Accessible Properties Ltd that record their performance against their housing contract with HUD, including in their role as tenancy managers. I further understand that these reports show that Accessible Properties Ltd is maintaining their stock of social houses to an appropriate standard with a high degree of compliance with the Healthy homes Standards (HHS), with only very few properties remaining to be brought up to HHS.
In addition, the Community Housing Regulatory Authority (CHRA) is responsible for monitoring all registered community housing providers (CHPs) annually against the prescribed performance standards and produces an annual assessment report. These performance standards include governance, management, financial viability, tenancy management and property and asset management. I am advised that Accessible Properties has satisfied all requirements to maintain their registration to date.
