39968 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: How much legal aid was spent on reports from psychiatrists or other mental health professionals in each month since January 2024 (if anything)?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I refer the Member to Table 1, attached, for the total amount of legal aid paid for psychiatric/psychologist reports broken down by month and legal aid jurisdiction from January 2024. I am advised that while there are other reports funded by legal aid that may relate to mental health professionals, the nature of these reports is not recorded in a way that is reportable by the Ministry.
