39951 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Associate Minister of Finance: How much was paid out by the Natural Hazards Commission in the past three years, by year, for claims relating to culverts (if anything)?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised that the Natural Hazards Commission does not collect this information in a central repository. Damage to land structures (culverts, retaining walls, bridges) is included in the total amount paid for land cover and the information is held within individual claim files. As NHC does not hold this information in an easily extractable format, I am not able to provide this data.
