39720 (2024). Hon Phil Twyford to the Associate Minister of Immigration: What is the average wait for Tier 2 from when a Residence Visa is issued, to when a person arrives in New Zealand under the Refugee Family Support Category, for the period 2017-18 to the present?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised for the period 2017-18 to present, the average wait for Tier 2 from when a Residence Visa is issued, to when a person arrives in New Zealand under the Refugee Family Support Category is 100 days. This is based on 929 arrivals between 1 July 2017 and 30 June 2024. I note that residence visa holders have 12 months to arrive from the date the visa is issued.
