39688 (2024). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister of Transport: How many fatal and serious crashes have been caused by maintenance deficiencies or faults, if any, in 2023?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised by NZTA that the causal factors to a road crash are difficult to identify, but there are numerous contributing factors, including but not limited to, the driver, the vehicle, the environmental conditions, and the road.
