39686 (2024). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister of Transport: What were the total additional costs required, if any, to raise the parts of Waikato expressway to 110km/hr to ensure that it would be safe?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised by NZTA that additional costs relating to raising the Waikato Expressway to 110km/hr safety standards are approximately $38 million. This includes works associated with seal widening, surfacing, barriers and drainage.
