39611 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: In response to Reply 38905, are home visits ever considered necessary after a Certificate of Exemption has been granted when there are concerns about the family's and/or child/ren's wellbeing?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that if child safety and/or wellbeing concerns are raised about a home educating family, Ministry staff will refer these to Oranga Tamariki and/or the New Zealand Police.
