39600 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Finance: How many of the 240,000 jobs that will be created over the next four years, if any, are a result of population growth?

Hon Nicola Willis: The working age population is forecast to grow by around 250,000 people over the next four years. Population growth is one of the factors underpinning Treasury’s forecasts for economic growth and the number of jobs.
