Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: In regard to the Government Inquiry into the Response to the North Island Severe Weather Events, what progress, if any, has been made on the recommendation to create a common operating platform for CDEM and NEMA agencies?

Hon Mark Mitchell: In my capacity as Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I am due to report back to Cabinet on the Government's response to the North Island Severe Weather Events Inquiry Report at the end of September 2024. The recommendations from the Inquiry are under consideration.
