39597 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Does the Minister agree with WEKA Peer support worker Holly Brammall that some people seeking mental health services may not access them due to bad past experiences, and peer support workers sometimes went out and met people in settings comfortable to them; if so, what, if anything, will he do to address this issue?
Hon Matt Doocey: I am committed to increasing access to mental health and addiction services with a focus on prevention and early intervention, as well as building capacity in the workforce. Peer Support Specialists will play an important role in achieving this.
