39543 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: What strategies, if any, will be employed to ensure that the new assessment tools and support measures effectively address and close the equity gap in student achievement?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) is developing a systematic approach to ensure new assessment tools and support measures are inclusive and accessible. The Ministry is also developing a framework to guide all assessment and aromatawai policy and initiatives. A key component of this framework is reducing the equity gap by having assessment and support measures that are designed, developed and implemented in ways that provide all students with the opportunity to succeed.
