39540 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: What analysis, if any, has the Ministry of Education done on the impacts of the creation of league tables of schools using learner's e-asTTle and Progressive Assessment Test (PAT) data?

Hon Erica Stanford: I have been advised by the Ministry of Education that there are strict safeguards in place to ensure data from assessment tools such as e-asTTle and Progressive Achievement Tests is not used for the purposes of creating league tables or any similar products that require analysis of school level data. Privacy reviews are being undertaken across all progression monitoring tools to ensure standards for privacy and data and information sharing are upheld. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 39542 (2024).
