39530 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister or any member of their Office received, if any, during the week beginning 24 June 2024, by title and date?
Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio.
In my capacity as the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I have received from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) and the National Emergency Management Agency (DPMC) from 24-28 June 2024 the following documents:
• Whakaari White Island – 25/06/24
• Ministerial Bilateral with Canada – 25/06/2024
• Exercise Rū Whenua Day 2 – speaking points – 26/06/2024
• Mayoral Relief Fund contributions to Hastings, Wairoa, and Tairāwhiti district councils – 26/06/2024
• NEMA Fortnightly Status Report – 27/06/2024.
In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister, I received the following document: North Island Weather Event: Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, Sediment and Debris, Infrastructure and Local Transport Projects – 27/06/2024.
In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in DPMC and NEMA, and from other agencies, and from ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the timeframe.
