39524 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Further to WPQ 37510 (2024), how many new training and / or medical fellowship roles to grow key medical specialties, if any, were there prior to 10 June 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that training positions are made available each calendar year. For 2024, an additional five radiologists commenced training with Health New Zealand, and an additional pathology registrar has been funded in the South Island.
