Hon Tama Potaka: I refer the Member to the attachment, which includes information about Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities Business Initiated Transfers (BIT). BIT refers to a transfer of a tenant from one Kāinga Ora property to another Kāinga Ora property. BITs typically occur due to reasons such as redevelopment, sale, lease expiry, health and safety issues, or major maintenance/damage work. Kāinga Ora may also require a tenant to move, due to the home not being fit for purpose or the asset is not being appropriately utilised.
