Hon Karen Chhour: I have interpreted your request to mean all services which are not considered a public service entity including contractors/consultants and social service providers. I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that they may on occasion engage providers and non-public service entities to support the delivery of specific work when needed. To provide the information requested would require substantial collation and research and divert staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 199-3, I consider that the time, and hence the expense, of answering this question in the timeframe allowed for written parliamentary questions, is not in the public interest.
