39454 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: Does the minister have confidence in the board and chief executive of Transpower?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: Yes, I have confidence in the board. As director terms end, Cabinet will consider the required director skillsets necessary to achieve our ownership objectives. It is important to note that Chief Executives of State Owned Enterprises are employed by boards and so it is for the boards to determine whether they have confidence in them.
