Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: What has been the amount of money contractually agreed between Health New Zealand and the New Zealand Psychology Board regarding the development of a proposed new scope of practice and regulatory framework for an ‘Associate/Assistant Psychologist’ role, and where is that funding now?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that Health New Zealand has negotiated a three-year contract, totalling $426,250, with the New Zealand Psychologists Board to support Health NZ with regulatory processes for the development of the Associate Psychologist role. I am further advised that any variation to the contract will be negotiated on a case by case basis.
