39420 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Further to his reply to Question 29605 (2025), did Kāinga Ora achieve its budget target of selling 300 properties in 2024/25 and if not, why not?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me the 300 properties budgeted for in financial year 2024/25 originally included the 117 unit block at Dixon Street, Wellington. That has since sold in financial year 2025/26. Kāinga Ora achieved 119 sales against the remaining target of 183. As Kāinga Ora’s sales programme has matured, systems and processes are now in place to achieve the level of sales forecast for financial year 2025/26, noting that the actual level of sales will depend on market conditions.
