Written Question

39400 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: How, if at all, does the Ministry of Education define ‘knowledge-rich’ in relation to the curriculum?
Hon Erica Stanford: The Ministry of Education’s definition of a knowledge-rich curriculum is a curriculum that clearly specifies what students are expected to know, and be able to do, for every learning area and year level. It supports mastery over time by providing content that is carefully selected, sequenced and coherent to make sure students build deep, transferable understandings.
