39398 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: When will the secondary school Maths Curriculum be ready for schools to implement?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that final curriculum content for Years 9-10 mathematics and statistics will be available in early Term 4, 2025. It will be required to be used from Term 1, 2026. Updated curriculum content for Years 11-13 maths will be available in Term 1, 2026 to invite wider feedback and support familiarisation. Once finalised in mid-2026, it will not be required for use until 2028 (Year 11), 2029 (Year 12) and 2030 (Year 13).
