39396 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: What is the timeline for the rewrite, if any, of the Te Marautanga o Aotearoa?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that the final curriculum content for Years 7-10 Te Reo Rangatira and Years 9-10 Pāngarau will be available in early Term 4, 2025. Bothwāhanga ako will still be required for use from Term 1, 2026. The remainder of the Years 0-10 curriculum across all wāhanga ako will be available in draft in early Term 4, 2025. The draft Years 11-13 curriculum content will be available in Term 1, 2026. In mid-2026, the full and final National Curriculum will be formally released.
