39289 (2026). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister of Health: On which dates, if any, did any member of the Minister’s office communicate with the Deputy Chair of HealthCare New Zealand Roger Sowry, and by what manner did this communication take place?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that my office receives and responds to a high volume of correspondence each day. Identifying, classifying, and listing all such correspondence would require a disproportionate commitment of staff time and resources, which is not a reasonable use of taxpayer money. Similarly, requiring staff seconded to my office from the Ministry of Health, Health New Zealand, Treasury, and those working for Ministerial Services to collate a list of all meetings they have attended would divert them from their substantive work, which is not in the public interest.
